Learning when I was in grade school has a lot of changed compared to now in High School. ICT brought a lot of changed in my student life. This following actions in school are those changes;
- The singing of the National Anthem
Before we were just singing National Anthem as an acapella. But in High School we're singing with the help of speakers and amplifiers.
- Presentation of Visual Aids
When I was in grade school visual aids are just presented by writing it to a manila paper. But ICT changed it, now as a high school student, we are presenting with the help of Laptops and any other technology devices.
- Class Record
Tallying of class records is now advanced. They used an advanced technology for tallying class records like Biometric.
- Assignment and Research
Assignment and research as a senior high school is not easy. But with the help of technology and ICT it made our assignment and research a way easier.
Schools use a diverse set of ICT tools to communicate, create, disseminate, store, and manage information.(6) In some contexts, ICT has also become integral to the teaching-learning interaction, through such approaches as replacing chalkboards with interactive digital whiteboards, using students’ own smartphones or other devices for learning during class time, and the “flipped classroom” model where students watch lectures at home on the computer and use classroom time for more interactive exercises.
When teachers are digitally literate and trained to use ICT, these approaches can lead to higher order thinking skills, provide creative and individualized options for students to express their understandings, and leave students better prepared to deal with ongoing technological change in society and the workplace.
